Logo or Other Images Not Visible on Mobile Devices

When a logo or other images are not visible on mobile devices, this means those images have been loaded using the http:// URL protocol, instead of the https://

Images loaded using http:// URL are considered as unsafe, therefore mobile devices will not display them. This will also result in "insecure content" or "mixed content" errors in the browser console.

How to Fix Insecure Content or Mixed Content Errors on Your Website

1 Check your website's WordPress and Site Address URLs

Navigate to your WP dashboard, Settings > General, and make sure both URLs are https://

Important: this will only prevent issues with future uploads, but it will not resolve the problem with the current content.

2 Fix Issues With the Current Content

2.1 Quick Fix using Elementor's URL Replacement Tool

If you are running Elementor on your website, you can use the URL Replacement Tool for a quick fix.

Navigate to your WP Dashboard, Elementor > Tools > Replace URL.

  1. In the "old URL" field type in the http:// version of your website's full URL. Example: http//:mywebsite.com
  2. In the "new URL" field type in the https:// version of your website's full URL. Example: https://mywebsite.com
  3. Hit the Replace URL button.

Important: While this tool is very handy, it may not fix all affected content on your website.

If you're still experiencing problems after using this tool, head over to the next point.

2.2 Re-Upload Affected Content

Assuming you have already performed the steps and properly changed your WordPress and Site Address URLs, you can upload the same files (affected files) to your Media Library again, as they will "pick up" the correct URL.

Once you finish with the re-uploading, replace images within your content with the newly-uploaded ones.

After that, delete the old files from your Media Library and that's it.

2.3 Use Better Search Replace Tool

If you don't succeed in fixing the issues and the problem persists even after you've checked your website again after deleting all cache and cookies, you will need to use a more sophisticated tool like the Better Search Replace WordPress plugin, that will allow you to edit tables in your database.

Important: This tool is not suited for beginners.

If you're unsure what you're doing or how to do it, consult a professional. Otherwise you risk compromising your entire database and breaking your website.
