Except for the lifetime subscriptions, annual Ocean Extensions and the Core Extensions Bundle are licensed for one year at a time. After that, you may renew your active license at a 30% discount to continue updates and support.
What happens if a license is not renewed?
- Automatic security and feature updates will be discontinued.
- The download link in your account will be unavailable.
- You will no longer have access to technical support for the item.
Will my extension function with an inactive or expired license?
Yes, it will, and this is perfectly legal.
However, if your extensions was not activated prior to your license expiration, you may not be able to activate the pro plugin after your license has expired.
Note: If you decide not to renew your license, your pro extensions may become incompatible over time, due to the lack of updates.
Is there a discount for renewing?
Yes, all license renewals for active subscriptions are granted a 30% discount to their plan's original purchase price.
Plans' price changes will not affect your renewal price (price lock) if you have renewed your license before expiration or have not cancelled your subscription.
Example 1: Let us say, for example, you have purchased the 25-sites Agency Plan for $129.
If, a year after, the price of your plan has increased to, for example $199, your 30% license renewal discount will be applied to your plan's initial price.
Therefore, you will renew your license for $90.30 ($129 - 30%), and not $139.30 ($199 - 30%).
Important: If your license has expired or you have cancelled your subscription, you can only reactivate your license key by renewing it.
However, current plans' prices will be applied to your license reactivation.
Therefore, using the example prices from above, instead of renewing your plan for $90.30, you will need to pay the plan's current full price, i.e. $199.
Example 2: Let us say, for example, one year ago you purchased the Ocean Sticky Header extension for $29.99 and you never cancelled your subscription.
If the new price for the extension on your renewal day should be, for example, $39, then your renewal price will be $20.99 ($29.99 - 30%), and not $27.30 ($39 - 30%).
No additional discounts, such as promo codes, can be applied to the renewal price.
Example 3: If, for example, at the day of your license renewal we are currently running a promotion (for instance, 40% discount), that discount cannot be applied in combination with your 30% renewal discount.
Therefore, you can renew your active subscription using only your granted 30% discount, and not for 30% + 40% discount.
If you have purchased your initial subscription using a promo code, the 30% discount will be applied to your plan's full price at the day of your purchase.
Example 4: Let us say, for example, that at the day of your purchase your plan's full price was $129 but you have used a 50% discount promo code and purchased the plan for $64.50.
One year later, your 30% renewal discount will be applied to your plan's full price.
Therefore, you will renew your license for $90.30 ($129 - 30%), and not for $45.15 ($64.50 - 30%).
Important: Granted 30% renewal discount and price locks can be applied only to active subscriptions.
If your license has expired or you have cancelled your subscription, current full plans' prices will be applied to your license renewal or reactivation.
Are there lifetime licensing options?
Yes, we offer lifetime subscriptions for the Core Extensions Bundle.
If I have a live website and a testing server (staging site), do I need to activate my license on both sites?
Each WordPress installation requires a license key, whether an installation on a sub-domain or a multi-site sub-directory in question.
However, if you are using a staging site, you only need to activate your license on your live site.
