Sidebar - Customizer

Default theme settings may differ if you have imported one of the OceanWP prebuilt website templates for WordPress. This is because these templates come with their own Customizer settings. However, the way you use the Customizer to adjust your website remains the same.

The OceanWP Customizer Sidebar panel enables you to enable, style and personalize the sidebar area of your website, and its widgets.

Available Sidebar options include:

Padding (px),
Sidebar Background color,
Padding (px) (Widget Options section),
Heading Tag (Widget Options section),
Widget Margin Bottom (px) (Widget Options section),
Heading Margin Bottom (px) (Widget Options section),
SB Widget Heading typography (Typography and Colors section),
SB Widget Text typography (Typography and Colors section),
SB Widget Background color (Typography and Colors section),
SB Widget Heading color (Typography and Colors section),
SB Widget Text color (Typography and Colors section),
SB Heading Border color (Typography and Colors section).

Padding (px)

The Padding (px) option enables you to add padding (spacing) to the sidebar website element.

This option is always measured in pixels (px).

The Sidebar Background color option enables you to apply a color the the entire sidebar background area.

The Padding (px) option (Widget Options section) enables you to add padding (spacing) to each of the widgets inside the sidebar area.

This option is always measured in pixels (px).

Heading Tag

The Heading Tag enables you to assign the correct H tag to the title of WordPress widgets (WP Dashboard, Appearance > Widgets) used in the sidebar area: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, div, span, p.

This option will only function with Classic Widgets.

If you're using the Block Widgets editor, you need to manually adjust the heading tag via available heading block.

The Widget Margin Bottom (px) option enables you to add a bottom margin to each of the widgets inside the sidebar area.

Heading Margin Bottom (px)

The Heading Margin Bottom (px) option enables you to add a bottom margin to the titles of widgets inside the sidebar area.

The SB Widget Heading typography option enables you to adjust typography settings for titles of default WordPress widgets used in the sidebar area.

The SB Widget Text typography option enables you to adjust typography settings for all textual content of default WordPress widgets used in the sidebar area.

The SB Widget Background color option enables you to apply a background color to all widgets inside the sidebar area.

The SB Widget Heading color option enables you to apply a color to the titles of widgets inside the sidebar area.

The SB Widget Text color option enables you to apply color to the content of all widgets used inside the sidebar area.

SB Heading Border

The SB Heading Border color option enables you to apply color to the border displayed next to the titles (headings) of widgets.
