Site Preloader - Customizer

Default theme settings may differ if you have imported one of the OceanWP prebuilt website templates for WordPress. This is because these templates come with their own Customizer settings. However, the way you use the Customizer to adjust your website remains the same.

The OceanWP Customizer Site Preloader panel enables you to enable, style and customize a website preloader: an animation which is displayed to website visitors while the content on the site is loading (text, images, videos, etc.)

Learn more about the website preloader and its benefits in our support document.

Available Site Preloader options include:

Enable Site Preloader

The Enable Site Preloader option enables you to choose whether or not you want to use the Site Preloader feature on your website.

The Site Prealoader is disabled by default.

Preloader Type

The Prealoder Type option enables you to choose between two types of preloaders:

  • Default: provides multiple inbuilt choices and settings you can choose from.
  • Custom: enables you to choose your own template built via WP Dashboard, OceanWP > My Library.

Custom Prealoder Settings

Icon Type

The Icon Type option for the Default Site Preloader offers 4 choices you can choose from:

  • CSS:
    • 10 inbuilt animation styles available for you to choose from.
  • Image:
    • Upload Image: upload any image to use with your site preloader.
  • Logo: automatically uses your website logo for the preloader screen.
  • SVG:
    • Upload SVG: upload any SVG file type to use with your preloader screen.

By default, the WordPress Media Gallery will not allow uploading of SVG files for security reasons, because some malicious codes can in fact be masked as SVGs.

If you're unable to upload an SVG file type to your Media Gallery, navigate to WP Dashboard, OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > Integration, and enable the support for SVG files.

With OceanWP, you don't have to use additional Media Library plugins to add the SVG file type filtering, because this feature already comes included.

Content

The Content option for the Default Site Preloader enables you to add your own text which is going to be displayed along with the animation, image, logo or SVG.

Container Width (px)

The Container Width (px) option enables you to determine the with of the container with your content in it.

Content Text

The Content Text typography option enables you to customize typography for the site preloader content.

Content Text

The Content Text color option enables you to apply color to the site preloader content.

Overlay

The Overlay color option enables you to apply color to the site preloader background which covers the screen.

Icon

The Icon color option enables you to apply color to the CSS icon animation type.
