Admin Bar: Site Booster Module
The Ocean Site Booster's Admin Bar module enables you to customize WordPress admin bar area.
To access Admin Bar, click on the cog
icon, then toggle
to enable the module.
Enable (or disable) any option you would like to use, then save changes
at the bottom of the module page.
Available Admin Bar options include:
- Clean Up Admin Bar (enable this option to reveal related subitems):
- Disable Admin Bar (v 1.2.0+),
- Disable Admin Bar Ruleset (v 1.2.0+).
Clean Up Admin Bar
Remove WordPress Logo/Menu
This option enables you to remove the WordPress logo and its associated menu from the admin bar.
Remove Customize Menu
This option enables you to remove the Customize option from the admin bar, which is usually available in the admin bar when previewing the website (frontend).
You will still be able to access the theme Customizer via Apparance > Customize.
Remove Updates Counter
This option enables you to remove the updates counter and its associated link from the admin bar.
The updates counter serves to display how many updates are currently available for your website (WordPress, themes and plugins).
You will still be able to access this option via Dashboard > Updates.
Remove Comments Counter
This option enables you to remove the comments counter and its associated link from the admin bar.
You will still be able to access this option via WP Dashboard > Comments.
Remove New Content Menu
This option enables you to remove the New content shortcut menu from the admin bar.
Remove Howdy
Remove Howdy option enables you to remove the standard 'Howdy' greeting next to the username in admin bar.
Custom Greeting
Custom Greeting option enables you to replace the default 'Howdy' greeting with custom text. In the text area, add any text you want to display. Do not use comas or other interpunction (, . ! ?)
For example, if you add Hi awesomeness
, it will display as: Hi awesomeness, admin (or whatever the actual username is).
Custom Greeting option is available only if Remove Howdy option is not already enabled.
Remove the Help Tab and Drawer
This option enables you to remove the Help tab and its drawer (content) from default WordPress areas.
Disable Admin Bar
Disable Admin Bar option allows you to remove the Admin Bar entirely from your website for logged in users.
Disable Admin Bar Ruleset
Disable Admin Bar Ruleset option allows you to choose and apply specific ruleset - choose for whom the Admin Bar is going to be visible, and for whom not.
