Introduction to OceanWP Panel
Since the OceanWP theme version 3.3.0, the OceanWP Panel will be displayed for all users under the Appearance section in the WordPress dashboard (in case the Ocean Extra plugin is not installed and active).
However, this OceanWP Panel version is limited and offers no additional functionality until you install and activate the free Ocean Extra plugin.
The limited version of the OceanWP Panel has been added in order to:
- introduce OceanWP theme users to all features and benefits they could gain by using the free Ocean Extra plugin,
- introduce OceanWP users to all features and benefits they could enjoy by going pro and upgrading with the Ocean Core Extensions Bundle.
- allow OceanWP users who do not wish to use Ocean Extra plugin to continue to experience OceanWP the way they always had.
OceanWP Panel and Ocean Extra plugin
Once you install and activate the free Ocean Extra plugin, the OceanWP Panel will shift at the top of the WordPress dashboard and unlock additional features.
Some features include (but are not limited to):
- legacy WordPress widgets (About Me, Custom Links, MailChimp, etc),
- Metabox options (control all your pages and posts individually by applying different styling),
- Customizer Search,
- Customizer Reset,
- and a number of additional features and opportunities.

Unlock OceanWP Panel features
You can unlock additional OceanWP Panel features by installing the free Ocean Extra plugin or upgrading to the Ocean Core Extensions Bundle
