How To Use Auto-Apply Coupons Feature
The Auto-Apply Coupons feature is available as of Ocean eComm Treasure Box 1.4.0 version, and to all Ocean eCommerce Pro license owners.
The Auto-Apply Coupon feature is a part of our Coupon Manager. Learn how to enable and use the Coupon Manager, if you haven't used it before.
The Auto-Apply Coupon feature serves to automatically apply coupons if your customer selects a product or products to which specific coupons apply to. Coupons with this option enabled, will automatically display in the cart / checkout, as opposed to coupons that need to be added manually by the user.
Enable the Auto-Apply Coupon Feature
The Auto-Apply Coupon feature is 100% optional and not necessary for the functionality of your coupon in general. It serves to stand out from standard manual coupons (coupons your customers need to add manually on their own).
You can add this feature to new, as well as existing coupons.
To enable the auto-apply option, navigate to your coupon page:
- Add a new or edit an existing coupon,
- Navigate to the Coupon Data 'Usage Restriction' tab,
- Check the box next to the Enable Auto Apply option,
- Enter the minimum product quantity necessary for the coupon to auto-apply. For example, 1 or 4.
- Save your changes.
As previously mentioned, once your customer adds a product to their to which a specific coupon is tied to and in case the coupon has the Auto-Apply feature enabled, this coupon will be automatically applied in the customer's cart (then further checkout, etc.).
