How To Use the Checkout Fields Manager

Welcome to your Ocean eComm Treasure Box dashboard!

The Checkout Fields Manager feature of your Ocean eComm Treasure Box (Ocean eCommerce) premium plugin enables you to manage (modify, delete, rename, add) fields for the following options:

  • Billing Field,
  • Shipping Field,
  • Additional Info.

To enable and use the Checkout Fields Manager feature, navigate to your WP dashboard, open the eCommerce OTB dashboard, and go to the Modules tab.

Click the "cog" icon next to the Checkout Fields Manager option to load the manager.

Next, toggle the button next to the options you wish to modify.

Using the Checkout Fields Manager you can:

  • Modify and customize existing fields,
  • Add new fields,
  • Remove existing fields,
  • Reorder available fields.

Important: Since WooCommerce blocks option do not support this type of page and fields editing, The Checkout Fields Manager will only function with the original WooCommerce checkout page aka the page which contains the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode and has been assigned the checkout page role through WooCommerce Settings.

To enable available options for any field (Billing, Shipping or Additional Info), you need to toggle the button next to the field option name, like in the screenshot example below.

Enabling the toggle button will load all available options which you can then completely modify and manage as you wish.

To remove any of the individual options from any field (Billing, Shipping or Additional Info), for example to remove the Phone option from the Billing Form field, you need to click the "X" icon next to the field in question.

To add a new option for any of the fields (Billing, Shipping or Additional Info), for example to the Billing Form field, you need to click the "Add Field" button.

After you clicked the "Add Field" button, you need to add all the necessary info:

Your Ocean eComm Treasure Box Checkout Fields Manager supports its own loop builder.

This means that you can change the order of appearance of all available field options aka place them in any order you want to.

To change the order of appearance of available field options, all you need to do is to left-click (with your mouse) on an item, hold the mouse button, then drag and drop the respective individual field wherever you want.

For example, if we wanted to place the Company Name field before the First Name field, this is how the normal order would look like before we apply our changes.

After dragging and dropping the Company Name field at the top (above the First Name field), this is how the new order will look like:

With the Ocean eComm Treasure Box Checkout Fields Manager, you can modify values of every existing and new field.

To modify the values of any the individual field options, you need to click on the respective option you wish to edit. This option will then expand and display available settings.

You can modify the following for any of the individual field options:

  • Field name,
  • Label,
  • Placeholder,
  • Default Value,
  • Validation,
  • CSS Class  (only use existing classes: form-row-first, form-row-last, and form-row-wide),
  • Required (toggle On or OFF).

Save Changes for Checkout Fields Manager

Once you're done modifying, just click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the form to apply all changes.
