How To Create The Wishlist Page
The Wishlist component is available as of v 1.1.0 and enables you to allow your customers to add products to their wishlist.
The Wishlist component is a simple feature at this stage, but we plan to add more options to it.
The following options are available at this stage of the Wishlist:
- wishlist icon on product archive pages for default OceanWP theme pages,
- wishlist icon on single product page for default OceanWP theme pages,
- wishlist icon on custom product archive page using the Template Builder,
- wishlist icon on a custom single product page using the Template Builder and dedicated Wishlist widget for Single Product Builder, and
- Wishlist to create a dedicated wishlist page using Elementor builder.
To make the Wishlist feature function, first you have to enable the Wishlist component.
Enable Wishlist Component
To enable the Wishlist component, navigate to eCommerce OTB > Components, and toggle the button next to Wishlist.
When enabled, the wishlist button(s) will automatically be added to your:
- default product archive and single product pages, and
- custom product archive page.
To add the wishlist button to your custom single product template, you will use a dedicated widget for the Single Product builder: Wishlist Button.
Create the Main Wishlist Page
The wishlist page is not created by automation and you will need to create one on your own.
This allows you to choose whatever URL you want for the page, as well as place in the Menu (if you choose to do so) or anywhere else on your website.
To create the main Wishlist page, navigate to your WP dashboard, Pages > Add New, and create just a regular page like you would usually do. For example, a page called Wishlist.
Edit the page in Elementor, style the page however you want, and to display the products that are in the wishlist, use the Wishlist Table widget under the OceanWP eCommerce Wishlist Page category.
