How To Properly Configure My Account Login / Register Template

Welcome to your Ocean eComm Treasure Box dashboard!

Using the OceanWP theme's WooCommerce customization options you can style and choose between 2 different layout options for the WooCommerce My Account Login / Register option.

In order to do that, you need to navigate to Customize > WooCommerce > General, My Account Page section and choose between one of two layouts:

  • Original, and
  • Side by Side.

These are example screenshot of the My Account Login / Register Original style:

With the My Account Login / Registar Original layout style, the Login and/or Register forms are displayed simultaneously depending on the navigation selection which is displayed as a title (Login or Register) above the form itself.

Example, if you wish to display the login form, you need to click the Login option above the form. The Login option is always displayed first by default.

Likewise, if you wish to display the registration form, you need to click the Register option above the form.

The following screenshot is an example of the My Account  Login / Register Side by Side layout style:

With the Side by Side layout style, both the Login and/or Registration form are displayed at the same time, next to each other.

T o style any of the My Account features, navigate to Customize > WooCommerce > Advanced Styling, section Account.

With the Ocean eComm Treasure Box Addon for WooCommerce, you can go even further and add more customization and optimization to your Login / Register feature for the My Account page.

How to Configure My Account Login / Register Template for WooCommerce

To create a new template for the My Account Login / Register option, you need to:

  • Navigate to your WP dashboard, eCommerce OTB > Template Builder,
  • Select the My Account tab,
  • Select the Login / Register option, and
  • Click the Add New button.

Make sure to give your template a name, select the proper Template Type (My Account Login / Register). Whether or not you want to make the template default immediately and check the available option is entirely up to you.

When you edit your new My Account Login / Register template with Elementor, inside the Elementor widgets panel you can choose the respective widgets to build the template.

Important to take note that, in this particular case, from the "OceanWP Ecommerce My Account Builder" widgets category you can ONLY use:

  1. "Woo My Account: Login Form", and/or
  2. "Woo My Account: Register Form".

Naturally, you can also use additional widgets (images, headings, spacing, icons, etc) to spice up this page. You just cannot use widgets which are intended for a different custom template type.

Place My Account Login and Registration Widgets Inside Columns Correctly

The way you will need to place the "Woo My Account: Login Form" and/or "Woo My Account: Registration Form" in your template design, aka the manner of use, depends on your account page layout settings in Appearance > Customizer > WooCommerce > General, section My Account Page.

My Account Original Style

If your preferred setup includes the My Account Login / Register Original layout style then:

  • if both of the respective widgets are in use (Woo My Account: Login Form and Woo My Account: Register Form), BOTH widgets MUST be placed inside one and the same section and one and the same column, regardless of how many columns your section has.

This is because both of these widgets are connected with functionality and cannot be separated, due to your selection in the Customizer.

My Account Side by Side Style

If your preferred setup includes the My Account Login / Register Side by Side layout style then:

  • if both of the respective widgets are in use (Woo My Account: Login Form and Woo My Account: Register Form), each of these widgets needs to be added independently and separately into two different columns of one and the same section. Basically, this means that you must use a 2+ column section layout.

This is because both of these widgets are connected with functionality due to your selection in the Customizer.

That's it!
